Dear Editor

Dear Editor,

I take this opportunity to share my views on an article recently published in the strait times and channel news Asia website as well as the leading dailies. This is all about my friend, a nine year old sweet little girl, named Losheni who is under treatment suffering with end stage kidney failure. She is known to my family for more than 5 years. It is quoted that “God doesn’t give you the people you want…..he gives you the people you need. To help you, to hurt you, to leave you, to love you and to make you the person you were meant to be” … how true are these words.. Make a wish Foundation Singapore has made this kid’s dream come true for a day. Aspiring to become a scientist in future, Losheni was given an opportunity to become a “Scientist for a day” with the Research Scientist Leong Meng Fatt on cells.

I have no words to thank make a wish foundation who works on “dreams come true” for those suffering from life threatening illness. We can do our little efforts to bring a smile to the suffering kids. When I see people wasting money, food, clothing on luxuries and unnecessary events, tears cloud my eyes. There are many who are really in need of all these.. Singapore is a generous country conducting many events for charity and to help those in disaster. Our people, be it any time of the month or year, be it an economic bloom or crisis always come forward to help with these events by donating a part of their savings or income. I thank all the generous people as a little effort by me to bring a smile for these people suffering from life threatening illness.

Make a Wish Foundation, thank you for helping my little friend to make her dream come true. I am inspired by your foundation. I will definitely do my part as a volunteer in the nearing future to bring a smile.
